The Autumn/Winter 24 edition of Milan Fashion Week shone a spotlight on vibrant reds and collections focused on outerwear, attracting A-list celebrities to the front rows. Standout trends included powerful collaborations with Korean and Thai influencers, catapulting brands like Bottega Veneta and Onitsuka Tiger to the top of EMV rankings. Over the past two years, partnerships with South Asian and Southeast Asian celebrities have soared, significantly boosting the visibility of each Fashion Week edition.
Lefty conducted a comprehensive analysis of brands showcased at Milan Fashion Week to determine the level of visibility each brand and collection received on social media. We focused on identifying the key celebrities and influencers responsible for generating the most visibility. To measure this, we heavily relied on Earned Media Value (EMV), a metric that quantifies the monetary value equivalent to the cost of achieving the same online visibility. Our calculation formula is as follows:
